What is computer hardware?

                                   Computer hardware is equals to the collection of physical elements that comprise a computer system. Computer hardware is refers to the physical parts or components of a computer such as monitor, keyboard, hard drive disk, mouse, printers, CPU (graphic cards, sound cards, memory, motherboard and chips), etc all of which are physical objects that you can actually touch.
              In contrast, software is untouchable. Software exists as ideas, application, concepts, and symbols, but it has no substance. A combination of a hardware and software forms a usable computing system.
               A personal computer (PC) is made up of hundreds and thousands of discrete components. While no one can name every tiny bit of electronics in a PC, a good computer hardware technician should be able to name the major internal and external components that make up the typical PC. Let us take a brief idea of various components of a PC, and learn what their functions are.In later chapters, we will discuss all of these components in much more details.
